Today is April 27, that means only 4 days until May! Spring is halfway over, and summer is on its way. The temperature has been in the 80s here in East Tennessee, and a lot of the flowers are blooming. We have some shrubs in front of the house that are covered in red flowers, but I don’t know what they are called.
May has a lot of holidays and events. The Kentucky Derby is on the 2nd. The National Day of Prayer is the 7th. Mother’s Day is the 10th. The Indy 500 is scheduled for the 24th, followed by Memorial Day. Then the month will end with Pentecost Sunday on the 31st.
It’s time to fill up the grill’s LP tank or buy charcoal. Dust off the lawn chairs and get out the shorts. Prepare to enjoy summer!
